Simple Tips

Installing Your Tire Chains

01

Test fit your chains before you need them. Be sure you have the correct chains for your tire size. Consult your owner’s manual if you are unsure.

02

Lay the chains out flat on the ground to untangle and inspect them for irregularities. Make sure they are not twisted or knotted.

03

Install the tire chains on the drive wheels of your vehicle, which are typically the front wheels for front-wheel drive vehicles and the rear wheels for rear-wheel drive vehicles.

04

Check for proper clearance of your vehicle. Then, drive a short distance and check the chains to make sure they are properly secured and adjusted. Never drive over 30 MPH.

Would have given 5 stars but one cross chain on one tire chain was installed upside down. Had to remove it and flip it over so it sat properly on the tire.

The product fit well and the chain is very strong for the application. The website was easy to navigate and the service people responded quickly and accurately.

The chains fit like they are supposed to... though this was my first time installing a set on my snow thrower. They seem like they may not fit when you first start to put them on but in fact, they did fit and, IMO, require chain tensioners. Bought the rubber bungee set. See my review below on them.

The chains improved the drive into deeper, heavier snow. And the chains look good and are properly sized for the size of the snow througher.

Fits good after small modification. Haven't had to use them yet but getting close. Had our first small snow of the season today. I'm sure they will get a good test later on.
