Simple Tips

Installing Your Tire Chains

01

Test fit your chains before you need them. Be sure you have the correct chains for your tire size. Consult your owner’s manual if you are unsure.

02

Lay the chains out flat on the ground to untangle and inspect them for irregularities. Make sure they are not twisted or knotted.

03

Install the tire chains on the drive wheels of your vehicle, which are typically the front wheels for front-wheel drive vehicles and the rear wheels for rear-wheel drive vehicles.

04

Check for proper clearance of your vehicle. Then, drive a short distance and check the chains to make sure they are properly secured and adjusted. Never drive over 30 MPH.

I put these on a Mahindra 2638HST and they are great ! Fit perfectly and the traction in snow and ice is awesome! I highly recommend.

These chains were very easy for one person to install and are perfect for driving on my icy hillside. The only additional help I can think of would be suggestions of how to tie off the tails. I’m experimenting with different ways; haven’t found one that is entirely satisfactory yet.
