Simple Tips
Installing Your Tire Chains
01
Test fit your chains before you need them. Be sure you have the correct chains for your tire size. Consult your owner’s manual if you are unsure.
02
Lay the chains out flat on the ground to untangle and inspect them for irregularities. Make sure they are not twisted or knotted.
03
Install the tire chains on the drive wheels of your vehicle, which are typically the front wheels for front-wheel drive vehicles and the rear wheels for rear-wheel drive vehicles.
04
Check for proper clearance of your vehicle. Then, drive a short distance and check the chains to make sure they are properly secured and adjusted. Never drive over 30 MPH.
Q & A
Hello, no tire size 285/60-20 uses SKU 3829QC and size 285/65-20 uses SKU 3831QC. If you need further assistance, please give us a call at 866-853-1417 and one of our chain experts would be happy to help!
Not sure yet. Have not used them. But if they perform the same way you guys do, I expect they will work just fine. Most likely will be chaining up for the first time in February going over the Cascade mountains for my trip and move from WA State to Idaho so I can have some Republican neighbors.
