Product Overview

Ladder style tractor chains (Fieldmaster) are also known as Road Chains or Roadmaster because they are less likely to damage hard surfaces. Designed for on and off-road use, these chains are good in the field or on the road. They are recommended for use on worn tires. Good on pavement or concrete and are designed for faster speeds. They are more of a traditional turf style tire chain. Twisted link style for a smoother ride. Roadmaster chains are not recommended for deep lug tires since the cross chain will tend to settle between the tread lugs. Sold in Pairs.

Simple Tips

Installing Your Tire Chains

01

Test fit your chains before you need them. Be sure you have the correct chains for your tire size. Consult your owner’s manual if you are unsure.

02

Lay the chains out flat on the ground to untangle and inspect them for irregularities. Make sure they are not twisted or knotted.

03

Install the tire chains on the drive wheels of your vehicle, which are typically the front wheels for front-wheel drive vehicles and the rear wheels for rear-wheel drive vehicles.

04

Check for proper clearance of your vehicle. Then, drive a short distance and check the chains to make sure they are properly secured and adjusted. Never drive over 30 MPH.
